She went in for Ivory Soap. That was it. A quick stop for one simple item. But somewhere between the soap aisle and the checkout line, generosity interrupted her plans. She filled her cart with backpacks for children she may never meet.

This time of year brings a unique tranquility, as vibrant greens surrender to a breathtaking palette of gold, orange, and crimson. The cooler breezes serve as a gentle reminder to slow down, reflect, and cherish the simple blessings that surround us.

That pause made me quieter publicly, but not absent from the work. I’ve continued moving forward, steadily, intentionally, and with deep commitment to the communities we serve.
